Holiday Gift Shop - Gift Shortage PDF Print E-mail

As we look forward to the Holiday season, we are reminded of those who are less fortunate.  This year, during this period of economic instability, it will be very difficult for our Immokalee families.  Many of our children will face the holidays without knowing the joy of receiving a gift.  Each year, we try to provide toys and other forms of Holiday gifts so underprivileged families will not go without during the holidays.  The Guadalupe Center has been providing these support programs to families in need for over two decades.

This year's Holiday Gift Shop will be held December 14th through the 18th.  Families are pre-screened to assure that we are providing this program to those that need it most.  We also take the extra effort to make sure we are not duplicating the services of other organizations providing the same service.

The Holiday Gift Shop converts Sanders Hall, a large congressional space in front of Guadalupe Center’s Soup Kitchen, into a holiday store.  Volunteers assist qualified parents with their shopping and then wrap the chosen gifts before they are taken home.  Your support of the families that depend on this program has been gratifying over the years.  Continued support this year will enable us to provide gifts to hundreds of children in need.

The Guadalupe Center depends on organizations and individuals for better than 80% of our funding.  This program, along with our educational programs, is made possible through the generosity of our donors and volunteers.  We need your assistance now more than ever.

The Guadalupe Center of Immokalee has been serving the children and families of Immokalee for more than 25 years.  Donations are needed for all of the programs at the Center.  Together, we can break the cycle of poverty through education.  For more information or to donate to the programs at the Guadalupe Center, please call 239-657-7711. Donations to the Holiday Gift Shop can be sent to 509 Hope Circle ● Immokalee, FL 34142.
