Church Partnerships

The Guadalupe Center of Immokalee invites and encourages congregations from all denominations to come and help serve the poor of Immokalee. Whether it is helping a child learn to read, rocking babies to sleep, planning a fund raiser, or helping to organize a group of volunteers in the soup kitchen, the help that church partnerships offer is incalculable. While this work greatly helps the Guadalupe Center, those who come here to help are able to change lives and have their hearts touched by the people of Immokalee. The experience of coming to Immokalee and working directly with the people, especially the children, is an opportunity that will broaden perspectives, soften hearts, and come to a higher understanding of humanity. This is an opportunity to unite the congregation to help combat poverty in Immokalee.

While the Guadalupe Center has no religious affiliation, we have always relied on the help of the faith communities of Naples, Fort Myers, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, and other surrounding communities for their invaluable assistance. Through our history, we have been helped enormously by clergy, religious, and lay people from all denominations.

Ways that Church Partnerships can be mutually beneficial:

Support Financially

The Guadalupe Center encourages your church to consider us a part of your mission work. Collections, individual donations, or donations in-kind greatly benefit and help ease the day to day struggles of so many in Immokalee.

Organize a Benefit

This is a chance to bring your church community closer together to help combat poverty in Immokalee. Benefits and fundraisers are a great way to not only have a great time with friends, but to make a tangible difference in the lives of many children.

Energize Your Community

Motivate a group of caring individuals to help the Guadalupe Center. Whether it is bring a group of people to directly serve the poor, or helping a child learn to read, the Guadalupe Center needs dedicated people to help out.

These are a few of the ways that Churches and congregations have helped in years past. The Guadalupe Center is receptive to any new ideas that could lead to us, together, better serving the people of Immokalee. For more information about any of our programs or how your Church can partner with the Guadalupe Center, please call (239) 658-2202.

“All individuals who are involved with the Center as a volunteer or a donor are respected  All personal information is protected by the Center and never shared with any other organization.”
