EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION The Guadalupe Center of Immokalee serves children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old. The implementation of developmentally appropriate practices that support growth and learning of young children is the center of all program planning. The early childhood setting functions as a community of learners in which participants contribute to each other’s well being and learning. Each child is valued. Social relationships are an important context for learning. When children have the opportunity to play together, work on small projects in groups, and talk with other children and adults, their own development and learning are enhanced. |
